• 27/4/2005: From the Philippines via Trinh Hoi and Linda Phillips: first pre-screening interviews of Vietnamese boat people is scheduled for May 13, 2005.
  Trinh Hội và Linda Philips cho biết thuyền nhân tại Phi Luật Tân sẽ bắt đầu vào phỏng vấn ngày 13 tháng 5, 2005.
   
• 1/5/2005: SOS Viet Phi will submit to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) a list of relatives in Canada and their families in the Philippines.
  Đầu tháng 5, 2005 , SOS Việt Phi sẽ gỏi đến Bộ Công dân và Di trú Canada danh sách thân nhân thuyền nhân tại Canada và gia đình họ tại Phi Luật Tân.
   
• More than 21,000 signatures has been collected including roughly 15,000 in Canada and elsewhere and 6,000 from the World e-Petitions online at www.sosvietphi.org. SOS Viet Phi would like to thank recent helps from all individuals from Canada an all other countries, the Vietnamese Australian Community Representatives and many other organizations and worldwide Vietnamese Media for their supports and assistances in obtaining signatures for our petition to help save the last Vietnamese boat people in the Philippines.
  SOS Việt Phi hiện có hơn 20,000 chữ ký kể cả khoảng 15,000 chữ ký trên các bản thỉnh nguyện thư tại Canada và các quốc gia khác cùng hơn 6,000 chữ ký tại www.sosvietphi.org. Chân thành cảm tạ tất cả quý vị từ tại Canada cũNg như cac quốc gia khác, lãnh đạo Cộng Đồng Người Việt Tự Do tại Úc Châu và những cá nhân, hội đòn, báo giới toàn cầu đã, đang hết lòng giúp SOS Việt Phi thu thập chữ ký vận động chính phủ Canada cứu những thuyền nhân còn kẹt ở Phi Luật Tân.
   
• The "Vietnamese Refugees Sponsoring Committee (Montreal) / Ủy Ban Bảo Trợ Người Việt Tỵ Nạn Vùng Montréal" has expressed the intention to assist in sponsoring some of the boat people from the Philippines (Letter of Intent is being prepared). SOS Viet Phi has earlier received commitment from Pastor Nguyen Ngoc Ha (Calgary) to do the same. SOS Viet Phi Ottawa Chapter has also already make an announcement that we will help sponsor some refugees from the Philippines as reported by the CBC earlier.
  Ủy Ban Bảo Trợ Người Việt Tỵ Nạn Vùng Montréal đang chuẩn bị thư ngỏ ý giúp bảo trợ thuyền nhân cũng như trước đây SOS Việt Phi đã nhận được cam kết cuả Mục Sư Nguyễn Ngọc Hà tại Calgary hứa cộng tác trong việc bảo lãnh thuyền nhân. SOS Việt Phi vùng Ottawa đã thông báo bảo lãnh thuyền nhân như đài truyền hình quốc gia CBC đã thông tin trước đây.
   
• Petitioners from more than 20 countries around the world, from Austria to Vietnam, have made their call to the government of Canada to recognize this last group of Vietnamese Boat People as refugees, and allow resettlement for some 500 individuals on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. In Canada alone, people from more than 90 towns and cities have signed the petition.
  Hơn 21,000 chữ ký vận động với chính phủ Canada Công nhận thuyền nhân tại Philippines là người tị nạn và Cho phép để tư nhân tại Canada dễ dàng bảo lãnh 500 trong số 2,000 thuyền nhân tại Philippines đến từ hơn 20 quốc gia trên thế giới. Riêng tại Canada, dân chúng từ hơn 90 thị xã và thành phố đã cùng ký tên vào thỉnh nguyện thư.
   

• 24/4/2005: SOS Viet Phi Reception for Minister Joe Volpe to meet with Vietnamese community and other supporters from the provincial goverment as well as the city of Toronto - In a nutshell, it was a success. Amongst SOS Viet Phi's more than 100 guests are:
